ERC-20 and NEP-5 are the standards for tokens issued on the Ethereum and NEO blockchains, respectively. These chains (as well as others) can be used to create new digital assets, which are secured by the underlying Ethereum and NEO networks.
Ethereum- and NEO-based tokens can interact with smart contracts on their respective networks and hence also with other assets on those networks. However, assets based on different blockchains cannot interact directly with each other.
These tokens can represent a variety of different digital assets, from straightforward digital currencies to utility tokens (e.g. BAT, which is an ERC-20 token), backed assets (e.g. USDC, which also exists on the Ethereum blockchain) and security tokens (e.g. NEX, which is a NEP-5 token).
Nash offers support for both token standards and, thanks to our innovative technology, allows them to be traded against each other directly for the first time.
